Rimonabant Diet Pill

Hi, folks, Al here again. Let's talk about Rimonabant diet pills. First, you probably already know that Rimonabant is the European brand name for Acomplia. I'm here to tell you, I've not seen so many generic versions of the Rimonabant diet pill since Viagra.
Here are just a few:

1. Acomplia
2. Riobant
3. Slimona
4. Rimoslim
5. Zimulti

Rimonabant diet pills, as the title suggests, work best for people with a body mass index greater than 30 kg/m©÷, or patients wih a BMI greater than 27 kg/m©÷. However, it also works for folks below those levels.

How do Rimonabant diet pills work? Well, much the same way Phentermine works: both block the CB1 receptor, which, in lay terms, is a "pleasure" receptor and one of 2 receptors found in the Endocannabinoid System (EC System). Those in the know believe that the CB1 acts to regulate food intake and energy output.

These receptors are said to be on the surfaces of cells in the body, which includes fat cells, those involved in lipid and glucose metabolism, and those in the hypothalamus - the region of the brain that many believe controls appetite.

There exist these chemicals called Cannabinoids - compounds made by our bodies that latch on to the CB1 receptors. These cannabinoids are said to be overactive in very over-weight and obese people, firing a chemical signal that makes people want to eat more, and more, and more...

Well, scientists began to wonder about developing a med that would stop this latching process. In 2001, the first experiment with animals was done at the National National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism in Bethesda, Md.

To make a long story short, the experiment was successful in that genetically altered mice that did not have cannabinoid receptors ate less than the control group, even after 18 hours!

Moreover, when the control group was given Rimonabant, those mice also reduced eating.

In the study, genetically altered mice that lacked cannabinoid receptors ate less than their litter mates, even after 18 hours of fasting. When the normal mice were given rimonabant, which blocked their CB1 receptors, the mice reduced their food intake.

In 2002, Sanofi-Synthelabo began human tests. The rest, as they say, is history.

Rimonabant diet pills, as I have stated, will work for you, too. Now, then, all may not be rosy; you'll have to watch out for periods of depression, because your CB1 receptors will be blocked, thus, you'll probably feel a bit under the weather. That is true of me, too.
